Making the Change

Prior to CostX all of our take-off was carried out by hand, which meant printing off drawings and spending long hours taking off quantities, marking up drawings & calculating dimensions by hand. We had been looking for a way to carry out take-offs in a less time costly fashion and also to reduce the amount of paper being used on drawings and take-off paper….CostX provides both the time-saving element and vastly reduces the paper usage we were looking for with an easy to use program. The implementation of CostX was a simple task of downloading and installing the program on the relevant computers.

The Outcome

CostX has meant that we now spend a fraction of the time carrying out take-offs, leaving us with more time to look at the finer details and ways to value engineer projects. It has also massively improved turn-around times for producing tender submissions, and has helped cut back on requirements for printing drawings and take-off paper at tender stage by 95%! CostX will enable us to improve our procurement strategy and provide better tendering services to all our clients at tender stage, which in turn will help build better working relations.
