Client’s Requirements

The Boardwalk Redevelopment at South Bank will be Brisbane’s newest riverside dining precinct and will set new standards in CBD dining.

Set on the southern edge of the Brisbane River, within the world renowned Parklands, the development will comprise six unique dining opportunities. All tenancies will enjoy ambient alfresco dining areas designed to enjoy the exclusive river and CBD views.

The retail mix will consist of a variety of quality and refined restaurants, bars and cafés which celebrate the best that Queensland has to offer, surrounded by extensive public realm landscapes.

Collaboration is the key to the success of this iconic Brisbane project. Revit models from both the Architect and the Structural Engineer were supplied to Mitchell Brandtman, which allowed our team to conceptualise and gain a more comprehensive and visual understanding of the project. By combining these models using our CostX expertise, our team was able to present more accurate quantities and deliver innovative cost solutions for the project. Instant quantity takeoff combined with live links to rates eliminated the need for manual takeoff of quantities. This has allowed our team to focus on value management throughout the design process. The revisioning tool CostX offers provided an instant snapshot of the changes to the scope of the project through each stage of revision.

Making the Difference

CostX assisted our measurement takeoff with automatic 3D quantity generation. This was a great tool to use and streamlined our cost planning process. The revisioning function also assisted with design development, as it allowed us to provide advice to the client at integral points throughout the design phase.
