Client’s Requirements 

Hamilton Harbour is river precinct living in Brisbane’s prestigious suburb of Hamilton. Combining designer apartments with sophisticated retail and lifestyle amenities, this lively hub is set to become a destination in its own right. Hamilton Harbour will feature 660 apartments in three residential buildings, 17,000sqm office space across two commercial office buildings and 5,000sqm retail space consisting of showrooms, ground floor specialty retail and restaurants, a gymnasium, strata offices, car parking and a public park. 

Gray Robinson & Cottrell’s Contributions 

Gray Robinson & Cottrell provided the measurement and cost planning services from the sketch design phase through to construction documents and assessing tender submissions. Our CostX proficiency greatly aided this service. We were able to use a job specific price list attached to workbooks to continually upgrade rates specific to the changing market. The CostX functions were of great value to us as well. In particular, our team was able to utilise the 3D modelling capabilities, 2D measurement, the sort function to allow sorting of elemental estimates and the revision function to allow for multiple revisions of each estimate. Furthermore, as our contractor was not familiar with the CostX program, the free CostX Viewer download was of excellent use. 

Gray Robinson & Cottrell’s proactive approach has encouraged our staff to eagerly embrace the advances in building software programmes such as CostX, aiding the accuracy and efficiency of reports and equipping our clients with the facts they require to progress in their project.
