Cebarco Bahrain (Civil Engineering, Building and Construction) was established in 1992 by Dr. Khalid Abdulrahim. They are a Grade AA contractor (certified by the Bahrain Ministry of Work, Municipalities Affairs & Urban Planning). Their headquarters is in the Kingdom of Bahrain with operations in Cyprus and the UAE.

Cebarco has completed some of the region’s biggest projects such as:

The Bahrain International Circuit
City Centre Bahrain
Isa Cultural Centre
New Exhibition & Convention Centre
Bahrain International Karting Circuit
and the Yas Marina Circuit.

They have a wealth of expertise encompassing hotels, commercial, retail, sports facilities, military and residential building construction as well as significant infrastructure projects such as data centres, roads, bridges, substations and sewage treatment plants.

The Challenge:

Cebarco faced issues of Tender details & Budget Data spread across multiple MS Excel Worksheets. Collating Data
& Time Management Reporting was time consuming and as such, they were in search of software that would boost
their tendering system in a highly competitive business.

Candy is a user-friendly and intuitive tool helping us manage our tenders efficiently, coupled with the professional support and service that RIB offers. We are looking forward to explore other functionalities within Candy soon.

The Solution:

Cebarco Tendering department selected Candy as their Estimating and Project Management control solution. Candy is designed and developed in such a way as to allow for the entire Tendering team to work on one system, with standard coding structure & pricing methodology, which can be reused for future projects and easily retrieved for
budgeting & post tender usage.

Implementation:

The Tendering Team has migrated RIB Candy in record time and is currently working on standardizing procedures and streamlining workflows within the company, for effective use of this information & system, post tender.
