DATA PREPARATION – USAGE OF MEASUREMENT DATA

Measurement data are, as a rule, all data that you create with or receive from surveyors. These include, alongside general data from tacheometer surveys, point clouds, for example from laser scanning procedures.  These point clouds are, as a rule, connected with large data quantities.

iTWO civil offers you the possibility of preparing large data volumes or deriving information from them and using it efficiently for current work processes.

EVALUATION OF TACHEOMETRIC SURVEYS

When recording with a tacheometer, evaluation in the office often follows. With the measurement data application, you can process the available measurement data and thereby directly evaluate

  • a polar measurement (point and line measurement) or free position point
  • Polygonzüge / Tachymeterzüge

with optional correction values. Points recorded are immediately adopted as an object, i.e. coded.

Suitable implementation format definitions support the most varied range of surveying instruments.

INFORMATION ACQUISITION FROM POINT CLOUDS

Point clouds have been in use for some time to acquire information for planning and calculation in the first project phase.

You can process point clouds from well-known producers with iTWO and derive from them only that information which is relevant to the next project stage.

The following performance features of the point cloud application are available to you:

  • Adoption of known point-cloud formats (e.g. LAS and E57)
  • Alignment-related interpolation of longitudinal profiles and cross-sections directly in the point cloud
  • Viewing the point cloud in height profile and cross section
  • Measurement and digitalization in the point cloud
  • Triangulation of digital site models
  • Determination of difference models (point cloud/DGM)
