OKSTRA is the nationally recognized data exchange formal for all CAD-produced, object-oriented elements of highways and transport. Unlimited character length and wastage- and error-free data transfer between the various highway construction and transport authorities in Germany and its federal states are possible.
Geometrical objects are described unambiguously using their specialist designation. Exchange between different systems is optimized. Here, objects are labeled not just with their geographical information or different representation, but are also directly identifiable as an object. For example, an alignment in the target system is interpreted as an alignment and can be further used as such.
