Free professional events for Structural Engineers
RIB with Impulse Days for Building, Foundation and Bridge Construction and FEM in Autumn
STUTTGART, August 10, 2017: This autumn, RIB Software SE is organizing six free impulse days for structural engineers at various locations throughout Germany. The compact seminars combine theory and practical case studies: The participants will learn how to achieve economical solutions with high-quality design technology and learn how to optimally implement new standards and complex component verification thanks to ingenious user guidance. The series of events begins on 19 September in Wuppertal. Further dates are on 20 September in Koblenz, on 24 October in Erfurt, on 25 October in Neumarkt in the Upper Palatinate and on 14 November in Ulm. The seminar series ends on 16 November in Heidelberg. All events begin at 9:30 a.m. with specialist topics on building construction and foundation engineering. In the afternoons, the focus will be on finite elements in building and bridge construction. End of the seminars is scheduled for 16:30 clock.
In the mornings, the software manufacturer will present the new operating concept for precast girders in building and bridge construction. Further topics are interactive combination formation and linear / non-linear load transfer as well as the design of excavation pit safety devices with the new RIB wall design. The focus on foundation engineering will conclude with a special on the new KEM module (Kinematic Element Method) for the design of nail walls, which will be presented using a practical example.
From 13:30, RIB will present innovations in the field of FEM in building and bridge construction. Case studies will be used to explain how road bridges can be recalculated and upgraded. Composite bridges will also be presented as an economical alternative for replacement new buildings and the FE programs from RIB with their most important innovations and possible applications for the engineering sector will be explained. In the afternoon, the event will conclude with a special on digital planning with the new BIM solution "iTWO structure fem".
As the number of participants at these free events is limited, early registration is recommended. Each participant receives a certificate for a total of four training hours (UE) per event part - the two course units per event can thus be booked separately and submitted to the Chambers of Engineers as further training.
