RIB presents at BAU 2019 new huts for statics, foundation engineering, FEM and CAD
07-12-2018
MUNICH, 07 December 2018: At BAU 2019, the world's leading trade fair for architecture, materials and systems, RIB Software SE will be presenting a wide range of innovations for structural engineers and verification engineers from 14 to 19 January.
At the RIB booth, the manufacturer will be presenting the new BIM-oriented solutions for CAD and FEM and will be demonstrating the versatile possibilities of BIM-integrated structural design. In ZEICON 19.0, IFC data can now be transferred and displayed and processed as a spatial component model. The new BVBS3.0 interface in this version allows the export of reinforcement elements and inserts according to the current standard. iTWO structure fem is available as a completely new BIM tool for calculation and design in the BIM process. Via an integrated Revit plug-in, the calculation model for individual components can be adopted and further processed as slabs and, in the future, also for entire 3D systems. The results from a calculation and design can then be displayed again in Revit and used for reinforcement design.
The new program FERMO with its intuitive user guidance allows direct access to the design of reinforced concrete and prestressed prestressed bed girders with optional in-situ concrete supplement for structural and bridge engineering in the field of precast girders. The configuration of the program environment, the functionality and the result output for preliminary design, short, long and detail lists ensure that the program is always clear and efficient. The integrated tilt safety check at all times of production and use is supported by automatic combination creation. This also enables the non-linear calculation in state II for an extremely economical beam design.
Economical solutions require high-quality design technology. This can also be seen in the completely new program version of RTwalls 19.0. for shoring walls. The new user guidance supports the user by the pre-selection of the wall type with a fast input in the project processing. In the new program version, load case combinations can now be specified for each construction stage for individual limit states and design situations. The design overview and the graphical results processing allow the optimization of shoring walls much more efficiently than in the past. The new, configurable result output rounds off RTwalls 19.0 as versatile software for special civil engineering applications.
In addition to the adaptations to the DWA-A 127 guideline, the ROHR program has been extended to include the design of flow floors. Liquid soils can be used advantageously in earthworks, civil engineering and road construction when it comes to filling pipe trenches in a self-compacting and time-saving manner and keeping settlement to a minimum. In addition to the extension of the load and calculation approaches for temporarily flowable, self-compacting backfilling materials (ZFSV), new verifications for the design of the pipes were also introduced.
Managing Director Wilfried Zmyslony: "In 2018, RIB again invested in updating its product range and especially in completely new BIM-oriented software solutions. Visitors to BAU 2019 will be able to find out about trend-setting software for component dimensioning, for example for prefabricated parts and retaining walls, as well as engineering tools that map the BIM-oriented work process of the structural engineer.
