The programme option prestressing for RTbeam is a powerful additional module and offers the following advantages:

• fast input of complex tendon geometries

• direct graphical control of the tendon input

This application can easily be enhanced according to the requirements in the field of continuous reinforced concrete beams by the option prestressing for RTbeam.

Additionally to precast prestressing with multiple strings, prestressing with subsequent bond or/and unbonded prestressing are possible with this option. The graphically interactive working environment facilitates the processing of the tendon geometry as a straight or as an arbitrary parable with a presetting of geometry via support locations in the dialogue. In the event of subsequent prestressing, a standard geometry can be generated automatically. This programme option also contains the following functions:

• bonded/unbonded prestressing or instant cohesion
• up to 4 stressing conditions for subsequent prestressing
• prestressed concrete design for structural engineering considering creep, shrinkage and relaxation
• comprehensive prestressed concrete design for Ultimate Limit State (ULS), Serviceability Limit State (SLS) and Fatigue Limit State (FLS)
• evaluation of the reinforcement against tensile for precast prestressing with instant cohesion
• the verifications are performed for the observation period of to = 7 days and t = infinite
