Windows® programme for the design of continuous reinforced concrete beams with a graphically interactive working environment for the in and output. Straight continuous beams including single span reinforced concrete beams and cantilever reinforced concrete beams can be designed with the help of this tool. The programme also facilitates the analysis of variable cross-sectional distributions and the creation of reinforcement drawings.
Reinforced concrete design is possible for structural engineering tasks according to DIN 1045, DIN 1045-1, EN 1992-1-1 and according NADs for DE, AT, SK/CZ and UK . In detail, RTbeam allows the solution of the following tasks :
- homogeneous cross sections of rectangles, T-beams, slabs and I-beams with variable chord widths
- variable cross-sectional distribution including cross-sectional jumps
- simple symmetrical, exceptionally even asymmetrical cross-sectional forms are possible, these however have to be designed uniaxially.
- static systems with unlimited amount of fields with automatic consideration of effective widths of slabs for the evaluation of stress resultants
- consideration optionally of regular concrete quality (until C50/60) or high-performance concrete (C55/67 to C100/115)
- rigid or elastic support with automatic evaluation of the spring properties
- load cases can be given arbitrarily with different superposition and design attributes
- system is categorically applied as a downsprue system, with the exterior short time and permanent loads being effective simultaneously
- load cases can be put together arbitrarily out of concentrated loads and trapezoidal loads
- linear stress resultant evaluation with automatic formation of all design combinations
- linear stress resultant evaluation with moment redistribution considering the limits of redistribution
- stress resultants can also be calculated externally and entered into the programme
- comprehensive reinforced steel design for Ultimate Limit State (ULS), Servicability Limit State (SLS) and Fatigue Limit State (FLS) for the observation period to = 28 days
- evaluation of deformations in cracked condition with effective stiffnesses as a non-linear FE calculation
- evaluation of envelope of required reinforcement steel (As) for the longitudinal reinforcement due to ULS, SLS, FLS due to bending stresses
- evaluation of envelope of required reinforcement steel due to shear force and torsion
- design of geometrical discontinuity areas, such as box outs and settled supports (design of notches according to the Fingerloos/Stenzel method)
- consideration of constructive fire protection requirements according design tables
- output of the results as short printout or as configureable output list
The output control of the result list is performed in three steps. The print out of input parameters, stress resultants, bearing sizes, verification types (e.g. bending, cracking, fatique or stress verifications) etc. can be controlled globally. The output format (short or/and detailed output) can be defined for each time step of design. Additionally, detailed outputs can be set up optionally for different automatically generated output cross sections. For testing reasons, the results can also be viewed in a clearly arranged manner via a result preview, additionally to the complete output list with graphics.
RTbeam contains an interactively controlled reinforcement design for cross sections that are constant in each field, including subsequent generation reinforcement placement. The following information is taken over into the reinforcement drawing:
- geometry and design information
- constructive reinforcement design
- Information on As envelopes of longitudinal and stirrup reinforcement
The reinforcement drawing can be directly transferred to ZEICON® as a ZAC macro or in the DXF format via ZACView to any CAD system.
